27 September Nascar Weekend at The Kansas SpeedwayAnother year has passed since the Hotel was filled at 100% with Nascar fans. These people never cease to amaze me. I am NOT a follower of Racing even though I grew up in the South where it originated. The fans will travel all over just to watch their "guy" run around in circles and to the Finish Line in the Winning spotlight. It is that time again for all those fans! The Kansas Speedway will literally be filled to the brim.Families as well as single individuals that have traveled from every state (almost) for this weekend's event. This sporting event brings the entire area a lot of revenue. I took a few photos of one of the racing car trailers that was parked in our lot. I have no idea who this individual driver is but the trailer's I have seen and the cars inside are absolutely beautiful! And of course you have to listen to some of the stories these drivers tell about their Employers. LOL.
Also this weekend is a parade honoring the Military soldiers that have /are serving our country. This parade starts this evening in Kansas City, Kansas and again, I took a photo of the trailer that is painted so patriotically. It took my breath away. It is of the Natiional Guard.
For all those whom love racing..I hope that your "Guy" is a winner. As for me...I will be
working and will hear all about it from all the fans at the Hotel.

25 September Atlantic City....Awesome Vacation SHE'S BAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKKK
I have returned from a most awesome vacation! I feel rested and rejuvenated and am NOT ready to return to work tomorrow. LOL. Atlantic City was just what the proverbial "Dr." ordered for me. Beaches, Music, Delectable Restaurants, People, and I could go on and on.
I stayed at THE SHOWBOAT that is located right on the Boardwalk and the Oceanfront. My room overlooked part of the Boardwalk and also the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Marina. Inside the Showboat is THE HOUSE OF BLUES which also had Suites that range from an uncanny amount of money. They are awesome ; however! ( I had the opportunity to take a peek at one in case of future bookings. ) I spent quite a bit of my time walking the oceanfront and also eating!!!!! Isn't that what vacations are for? To do whatever you choose or NOT do anything at all? Well, needless to say..I took full advantage of being a tourist. (Smiles)
My favorite meal while in Atlantic City had to be the night I dined at The Rib and Chophouse located in The Showboat. Oh my gosh!! It was the very, very best. I ordered a Shrimp and Lobster Bisque soup for the appetizer. It was heavenly! They brought bread and of course whipped honey butter ( to die for. ) I had to ask what type of bread it was because it just melted in my mouth. It was Portuguese Cornbread! Yummmmm....Yummmmmmm....Yummmmmm. Main course was a 6 oz. Filet Mignon prepared to perfection and a side of lobster (?) mashed potatoes! The ambience was more than welcome after all the noise you hear in casinos. The Server's name was Diane and she definitely was a pleasure to have . I could not order dessert. I was simply full and satisfied with dinner.
No need to go on and on about the way I felt being as "one" with my Ocean. all in all..I plan on returning to Atlantic City in the future. It was a blast.
I am only going to post a few photos this time..LOL..but trust me when I say this>> "I have mannnnnnny." There will be at least 3 AC Albums. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.

14 September It Totally amazes me....It never ceases to amaze me how an appointment with my beautician for a trim and a highlite can make me feel so rejuvenated!! I have been putting in long hours at work simply because they are short handed and also the beginning of my vacation starts soon. Therefore the extra moolah is always welcome. Woohooooooooo....time just for ME...LOL...I may sound "selfish" ; but it is known throughout the world that at a certain point in one's life..they realize the much needed proverbial "space" that is so controversial. Yes I referred to it as "space". I actually call it my "get away's". I, personally believe that time away from your significant other is good for a marriage. Call me crazy..call me strange..call me a "flaky" blonde..but in my case..it seems to work. Perhaps it is not for everyone. "To each ..his own." Now back to the simple things in my life that make me happy. A trip to get my hair cut. Who would have/could have thought that such a simple thing could make one feel rejuvenated and lively again. Maybe it is the sleep deprevation that has finally caught up with me? Whatever the reason..it is much welcomed. LOL. You women and maybe you..men; know what I am trying to say. It must be due to the fact that doing something for yourself is just the "icing on the cake". I say lick the spoon and the beaters..one at a time. Yummmmm..Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed! Even if it is just a hair appointment. Now..what do you say to that? ( This is in reference to 60 Minutes..Andy Rooney...Commentator. ) Gotta love good ole Andy!!!!
I certainly would like it very much if everyone that comes by takes a moment to say hello. I will be back at the end of next week. Be safe and enjoy life. As Greg put it in an earlier comment..Life is way too short. Thank you Greg for allowing me to add you to my "Spaces I Visit" list.
