Saturday the 23rd of SEPTEMBER in Las Vegas

First things first...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIS  !

THERE ARE TWO (2) non-truths in my writings. LOL. It was BILL who ordered the nachos and (2) Denise arrived in Vegas on Thursday evening. Oopsie...I must have had too many VIRGIN MARGARITAS.

Well today is the day all is to meet in the Flamingo Lobby for Margaritaville!!! It is finally here....the Meeting of the Forces! LOL. When I first arrived, there were 3 Spacers. Denise, Kim, and Steve...wearing paper crowns. I introduced myself and hugged all.Kim had an 8 X 10 photo of THE KING (Tom) with the lettering "LONG LIVE THE KING" toward the bottom of his photo. THANK YOU, KIM! Denise had a small gift for each, a shot glass from Utah. Thank you, Denise. Then Bill arrived bearing a gift as well. It was a grab bag with decks of playing cards. I am so glad my hand pulled out the ATLANTA PEACH deck. Thank you, Bill. The MSN SPACE CONVENTION sign was made by Steve. Thank you, Steve. After numerous cell callings, Dennis finally appeared from having already been to Margaritaville where Willba and Siobhan were waiting. So, off through the casino area to MARGARITAVILLE we went. After everyone was finally together for this celebration, we had photo taking sessions and then found a table for the 8 of us. Well, needless to say, libation orders were placed and thus all the festivities began. At 8 P.M. we were to have a "LIVE" toast to the KING simultaneously with all in Tempe, Arizona from Boston Bar and Grille. At the appropiate time, we all raised our glasses to KING TOM and toasted him . THANK YOU DENNIS for the speakerphone as well as all you did to coordinate this gathering "LIVE". A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Michael Thalman for his part from AZ.

Now as the evening continued, I was admiring the decor of Margaritaville. I especially loved the SEAPLANE with propellors spinning that was dangling from the ceiling.(Unfortunately my photos inside did not turn out). We only stayed on the first floor of Margaritaville, however, there are 3 stories with balconies for sitting and enjoying the scenery. There was also a volcano..now when you heard the song"When The Volcano Blows" ...the action inside comes to life! There are stilted men that start UP the whole show. From there...the volcano erupts and up comes the gorgeous, curvy (understatement) Volcano "keeper". She dances..ummmm....wiggles....then comes sliding down into a huge Margaritaville tank. She then throws her head back with her long wet hair and proceeds to twirl around in the tank. She looks up toweard ceiling and ...down comes a huge Fish hook that she climbs on and does her magic. She kicks her foot before leaving the tank...thus..causing the twisting/twirling of the hook and performs her ballet act. Very impressive indeed. Needless to say..it was worth watching numerous times.

Kim and Denise ordered Volcano nachos for all..

    Volcano Nachos
Topped with chili, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, tomato and scallions

A huge platter of nachos very tasty.Later on,Bill ordered :

    Crab, Shrimp and Mushroom Dip
Our signature appetizer…jumbo lump blue crab meat, gulf shrimp and mushrooms, simmered in a Cajun cream sauce and served with toasted garlic bread. We make it here so you know it’s good!.

    It was fabulous as well.

After a fun filled time at Margaritaville's, all but me went to The Freemont Experience. I had been numerous times prior to this arrival in Vegas, so I went on my way and everyone else went on theirs. It was so wonderful meeting everyone and I am thankful I was there to do so. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday the 22nd of SEPTEMBER, 2006 in Vegas

I was the first arrival in Vegas from all the Bloggers. I arrived very early on Friday morning. The flight was a non-stop and it was only 3 hours long. After arriving in Viva Las Vegas, I proceeded to baggage claim. After everyone's luggage was retrieved, I, along with 3 other people were still waiting for the carousel to keep going around. It stopped. We looked at one another and knew......all our luggage had NOT arrived. I did receive the smallest bag with all my shoes, purses, and toiletries. The largest bag had ALL my clothing in it! Where is it I wondered...How can you lose a bag on a NON-STOP flight??? Proceeded to Southwest Guests Services...filed the claim...and was on my way to the Flamingo. I took a cab. Since I was so early arriving at Hotel..they kept my bag in storage until I could check in later. So, I finally made my way to get some something to eat. At this point I was very hungry.

After a scrumptuous breakfast, I walked in the Wildlife Habitat area and starting shooting photos. I love to walk..so walked for quite a few hours. The Diamond Check-In associate called me on my cell phone and said they had my suite ready and I could check in early. So, off to get the key and head to my room.........My bag arrived via SW in about 3 hours..woooohoooo..I had clothes now...LOL..

    To be continued.....

    Part 2.....FRIDAY EVENING the 22nd.

I phoned Bill to welcome him to Vegas. Since we were both booked at THE FLAMINGO, we met in the Lobby. Yes, he is from Georgia..LOL..has that Southern accent that is so familiar to me. We were both hungry so I took him to the Diamond Lounge to eat. Yes, folks, I experienced a FIRST. The food was not bad (free for Diamond members)however; Bill pursueded me to try SUShI..YES!!! SUSHI. It tasted pretty good after I was brave enough to take the first bite. Thank you, Bill. I ate fried shrimp as well. Afterwards we walked through the Habitat and Pool areas. It was getting late, so Bill went on to wherever and I went to the slot machines. It was a pleasure to finally meet him. The others will be in later and Kim , Denise, Siobhan, and Steve are already in Vegas, so looking forward to Margaritaville tomorrow to TOAST our KING TOM and celebrate his life.

    To be continued......

You tell me then that I must perish: like the flowers that I cherish?

Nothing remaining of my name, nothing remembered of my fame?

But....like the gardens I planted...they are still young......

The songs I sang will still be sung!!!!

PJ 101 OR Who is This Lady?

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL...2 WEEKS 'TIL VIVA LAS VEGAS!

I have thought about posting this type of entry for some time now with reservations. However, after having a few "regulars" to my place now, I have decided that now is the time to let you know a little about  PJ, the personal side. Nothing too personal....just a bit of whom I am . For the most part, I am probably the PJ you all seem to laugh with, share with, and some, even cry with. I am who I am. PERIOD. What you read in my Blogs are me. Some days I am happier than others, as with anyone...I also have "not so good" days. Yes, I am human. Imagine that. ( SMILES ). I do try to be upbeat for the most part simply because it is my way of defying my most "Negative" Mother. LOL. I love my Mother, but she can be and always has been, very Negative in my opinion. I have grown past that part that always just changed the subject when she "started" in on something I believed wasn't so. I now am Woman enough to let her know that I disagree with her opinions. Believe it or not, I think she is trying to be more positive these days. She is who she is and it's hard to change one's behavioral habits after so many years. It can be done, however, not easily, but acquirable. Ok...here we go...just a small token of being friends. THANKS ALL.

GETTING TO KNOW PJ 101 OR 102.......

1..........Born and raised on the Atlantic Coast, a small (used to be private) beach...LITCHFIELD BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA. Just South of Myrtle Beach by some 20 miles or so.

2..........Have two younger Half sisters...same Mother...I have a different Father. I have never met my biological "FATHER", so therefore I consider my Sisters Father mine, the man that raised me since the age of 3. He passed away in 1995. I LOVE you DAD.

3..........Graduated a year early from High School. Attended Rice Business College in Charleston, S.C., however, I never finished college.

3.........I love music, writing poetry( sensuous),  water, walking, tennis, golf, football, basketball(College) and dancing.     An avid nature lover and a hopeless romantic. I am 100% female meaning I have always been the girly-girl type. Love femininity, is just me. I know no better. LOL. I simply ADORE my Maine Coon Cat, Miss Mattie for she brings me so much love and pleasure.

4..... I am 5'6" and you need not know my weight. LOL. (Oh hell...135pounds). Blonde, blue-eyed, and naturally a conversationalist. Love meeting  new people. When you are considered a friend, I would do anything in my power to always be there for you and expect the same in return...afterall, that is what Friend's are for. True Friends need not have to be asked to help one another. They should know when they are "needed".

5........Self employed Landscape Designer for over 20+ years. I am currently employed with a Hotel chain that shall remain nameless. I do enjoy my hard work although it can be very demanding, as with any job.

This is a start on who PJ truly is. I am not going to bore you with all the long drawn out likes/dislikes , etc. This was just to get a bit "closer" to each and every one of you that are kind enough to keep my Space going. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And on that note..... I shall end here as I think it is the appropriate time to do so. Hope all is well.....and that this day brings you happiness and love.Be safe and ciao for now.

     Oh. I almost forgot...I found a photo of BILL'S mailbox...or MINE... LOL.....

                                            LMAO.

    LABOR DAY WEEKEND

THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY. Yes, LAS VEGAS....HERE I COME.

I am so looking forward to this "get away". Most of you do not realize that unless I take a vacation or "get away", as I call them, to nurture my inner spirit and emotional state, I  tend to be less productive in many areas. I do this for ME . It is something I started doing four years ago. There were too many years that I did not "follow my heart" , so to speak, and it brought me down. Therefore, I now try to do so every three or four months. This has been the LONGEST time that I have not been away since those four years ago. O.K., now that I have "vented", you may understand PJ a bit better.

I want to wish each and every visitor/friend that sees this....a very Happy Labor Day and a SAFE one , as well. I will be working tomorrow, Saturday, but will have my usual days off which are Sunday and Monday. I have no plans for this holiday. This alone is enough to put me in a bad mood. LOL. (Just kidding). I will be happy as possible just being here at home.

I will probably try to get a new entry on sometime over the weekend, right now, I will play that by ear.         Again.....Have a wonderful end of SUMMER and be SAFE!

    Ciao for now.

P.S......A few new photos in album posted today from around the property, in my opinion...these are the best photos I have taken this year.
