    AAADD

                                             ANIMATED CUTEST CAT!!

**As my birthday gets closer I have come to the conclusion that this cannot be very far behind!!!!!**

                                                                    Subject: AAADD

AAADD - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only 1 check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Coke down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:

    1) The car isn't washed
    2) The bills aren't paid
    3) There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter
    4) The flowers don't have enough water,
    5) There is still only 1 check in my check book,
    6) I can't find the remote,
    7) I can't find my glasses,
    8) And I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

Have a most wonderful weekend my friends.

    I BELIEVE

                        WOMAN ON BED2

                             I Believe

I believe that the sun shines after the rain
I believe if you don't get hurt you'll never gain
I believe in not doing things the easy way
I believe that being selfish doesn't pay

I believe in a second chance
I believe in a life long romance
I believe there is life after death
And standing up to a life of mess

I believe in love at first sight
I believe that revenge isn't right
I believe that first impressions last
And there is nothing better then a good laugh

I believe that dreams do come true
I believe there's destiny for me and you
I believe that good things come to those who wait
I believe love never arrives too late

I believe something good comes from something bad
I believe that for tears of happiness there are tears of sad
I believe everyone has a guardian angel
And the good you do will be rewarded well

I believe sometimes there is no explanation
    I believe money can't buy people's affection
I believe you don't know what you've got until it's gone
I believe a new day arrives with every dawn

I believe a smile can be contagious
I believe in being very outrageous
I believe in living with no regrets
I believe that life is as good as it gets

I believe that God watches over us
I believe the little things are worth the fuss
I believe you have each friend for a reason
I believe you will get punished for treason

I believe that what comes first is family
I believe we should all live in harmony
I believe in making the most of a beautiful day
And it's not the end until everything's okay

I believe absence makes the heart grow fonder
I believe you will lose if you sit and wonder
I believe every experience teaches you a lesson.

I believe everyone has one true love
I believe sometimes we need a little shove
I believe the whole world is a stage
I believe we only get better with age

I believe that to learn you have to live
I believe that to love someone you have to give
I believe one moment can change your life
And there's still help when you're in strife

I believe everyone has one true friend
I believe love helps a broken heart mend
I believe in the power of a song
And things will change before too long

I believe living is the best experience
I believe in not laughing at other people's expense
I believe it's hard to watch a lover leave
And when they're gone all you can do is breath

I believe to always look on the bright side
I believe that life is just one big ride
I believe when I die people will grieve
    But it's ok because I believe .

It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.

    TAX JOKE

                                                A Taxing Occupation

A woman walks into an accountant's office and tells him that she needs to file her taxes.

The accountant says, 'Before we begin, I'll need to ask you a few questions.' He gets her name, address, social security number, etc. And then asks,' What's your occupation?'

'I'm a Lady of the Night,' she says.

The accountant is somewhat taken aback and says, 'Let's try to rephrase that.'

The woman says, 'OK, I'm a high-end call girl'.

'No, that still won't work. Try again.'

They both think for a minute; then the woman says, 'I'm an elite chicken farmer.'

The accountant asks, 'What does chicken farming have to do with being a prostitute?'

'Well, I raised a thousand little peckers last year.'

     'Elite Chicken Farmer it is.'

    SPRING FEVER and ARTISTIC NOTIONS

           P1020908              P1020910
For the past week or so the Midwest has enjoyed fairly moderate temperature's. It never ceases to amaze me how just a change in temperature can make me feel "enlightened and artistic." I am witnessing the growth of perennials, that have slept through the cold and snow of Winter, "springing" up from the barren , dull, landscape that goes along with the cold weather. It is simply amazing how one colorful flower amongst this dullness can vividly make my mind go from..."sleep" mode into "idea" mode. It's so welcomed! I have numerous ideas for the different areas of my gardens already.  I saw a few photos in a Gardening Book that has potential for my property and will be inexpensive to acquire such loveliness. Below are a couple of photos which caught my eye as to such. The weatherized old canoe..what a unique idea...simply anchor it upright and plant some blooming ground cover or climbing ivy for it to support. BEAUTIFUL!  ( I am thinking Clematis or climbing miniature Roses. )

                              P1020538

The second photo also has a "charm" about it. Simply hang a wicker chair with a cushion for comfort from one of the mature trees on the hillside and...voila', instant swinging meditation area.  It just so happens we have a wicker chair that has just been in the corner of our basement, covered by an old sheet, similar to the photo , that will work beautifully.

                                    P1020541

Another idea is to drape some colorful "netting" above your wicker patio/deck furniture or swing. In my case, we have a wicker sofa ( long ) and a love seat for our deck. I am pursuing the idea for the loveseat. A simple idea as this can make your plain furniture appear updated and new.  Throw pillows are a must and always have spare ones to use.. Always something that makes you smile, and to know that it can be done "frugally" is just between you and your significant "other". The neighbors will be asking questions about them..I am sure.

                               P1020811

I love bird houses and scattered amongst our property we have lots. However, the newest addition to ours will be this photo below.  We took pieces of several different "old " birdhouses and combined into one "eye-catching" home.

Does anyone like garage sales? I love them. About three weeks ago we found two pieces of outdoor statuary that we have longed to own for several years. Have you ever priced statuary? Well, it is very expensive. I was totally shocked at what some of the local Nurseries wanted for an obelisk and armillery sphere !!!!! Depending on what it is made out of..it goes for over $400.00 and up. This price was for both the obelisk and the armillary and was not 6' tall and was made out of a lighter substance. The one we found came from a lady that was moving to Colorado. It stands 6 feet high and is made of wrought iron. Yes, heavy iron! If I told you what we paid for it..you may never like me again. The armillery sphere actually spins.

                         P1020869-crop
We also purchased from the same lady...a Gardener's Baker's Rack !!!!!!!! It is wrought iron, as well, and has 4 pieces of glass shelving that is about 2" thick. whoaa..what a bargain. I had been looking for one of these for years. Again, as far as the purchase price, it was a "steal". Gaze your eyes upon it below.

                            P1020869-crop1

**Armillary spheres first appeared in China during the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.). One early Chinese armillary sphere can be traced to Zhang Heng, an astronomer in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25 A.D.-220 A.D.).Here is a link to find out more about them. Noone is for sure who made them first but it is guessed the Chinese or the Greeks. Very informative and interesting as to how they were and still are used for. **

Two other additions thus far are a Butterfly House which we placed above the larger water garden and a small trickling water fountain placed near the new smaller stone patio addition to the West of our deck. It's soothing to hear. It will be especially appreciated after we get some colored annuals/perennials planted around it . Again...Frugal prices; however they were purchased new.

       P1020919         P1020915

Oh yes, a gazing ball was also included in the garage sale "TREASURES". It was thrown in for free. It sits on a wrought iron stand, as well. About 4 1/2' tall. Not sure of the placement just yet.

That is all for now Blogger Friends. I have spent way too much time on this entry!! LOL. I do hope you all enjoy it as much as I did posting it. I Apologize in advance for the lengthiness. Have a wonderful week. Think SPRING!
