29 April THE LAWS OF LIFELAWS OF LIFE:
Law of Mechanical Repair After your hands become coated with grease your nose will begin to itch.
Law of the workshop Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.
Law of Probability The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity
of your act. Law of the Telephone When you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal. Law of the Alibi If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire,
the very next morning you will have a flat tire. Variation Law If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will start to move faster than the one you are in now. (works every time) Bath Theoram When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings. Law of Close Encounters
The probability of meeting someone you know increases when you are with
someone you don't want to be seen with. Law of the Result When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will. Law of Biomechanics The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach. Theatre Rule At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last. Law of Coffee As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold. Murphy's Law of Lockers If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers. Law of Dirty Rugs/Carpets The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug. Law of Location No matter where you go, there you are.
Law of Logical Thought
Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about. Brown's Law If the shoe fits, it's really ugly. Oliver's Law A closed mouth gathers no feet. ~*~PJ~*~ 25 April Check IN to Check OUTToday was a good day for me. Busy but good. And as usual I picked up the :
USA TODAY to read the Travel Section. I found another "WHY DIDN'T YOU THINK OF THIS" article!!! In today's world, there is much less; sacred than years gone by. Even one's own LOVE LIFE and WOES!
This article states: Who knew how therapeutic a hotel stay could be? Now you can get couples counseling ( oh my Goodness! ) or sessions with a therapist AFTER check-in.
Relationships expert LAURA BERMAN has teamed with Chicago's Hotel Monaco and Hotel Burnham on packages to improve a couple's love life. Romance RX, from $299 a night, includes a basket of romance and sex aids.( inserts the OPEN MOUTHED icon here )--from chocolate body frosting ( yum, I say) to an erotic roulette game.
The joyful Sex Package ( $399 ) adds a visit from a BERMAN CENTER therapist who'll advise on improving intimacy. The Passion Prescription Makeover package ( from $1,599 for two nights ) tacks on two days of couples therapy at the BERMAN CENTER.
Meanwhile, a psychologist is on ( now get this )......SPEED DIAL ON ROOM PHONES at the Hotel Parisi in La Jolla, California. Cost is a mere $120 for a 50 minute session.
I swear to you I read this article. LOL. Is from the paper I Highlighted above. Now, the $120 for the 50 minute session is NOT unreasonable compared to most therapist, but HOLY COW, this is something, I am sure will go over like WILDFIRE in today's society where it seems nothing is sacred ground any more. Just my observations and opinions and I am sticking to it.
WHO WOULD HAVE...COULD HAVE...THOUGHT IT? LOL.
And on that note, I will say ciao for now.
23 April Dancing In The MoonlightI really love to dance, however, it has been forever and then some, since I did so with a partner. I found this photo and I just love it. Makes my "daydreams" even more vivid, with the exception, I prefer a much closer, slow dance. Yes, even this lady has "fantasies". The ever popular "hopeless romantic" strikes again. It is who I am. More later this evening. Going to make a few calls to my family.
Perhaps a Poem is in order at this point in time.
MOMENTS
I close my eyes and breathe your name... Silently...no one can hear... Only you, and you appear Slowly through the mist. I see Your arms outstretched; you come to me. So close now I can touch your face And feel the strength of your embrace. Your breath is warm against my ear. I feel so loved now that you are here. We search for lips...a lingering kiss, Our stolen moment not to miss. All too soon you start to fade, Our time's cut short.... you have to leave. I start to wake, the night is done I grasp the air.... but you are gone. 31 March 2006 ~*~PJP~*~ Hope you enjoy.
Ciao for now.
21 April Best Restrooms? OMG!Here's to it being Friday ( for most ). Hope your weekend is marvelous!!
Now to what I have to write about. While at work this morning, I actually had a bit of "down" time, so picked up the USA TODAY and starting reading the LIFE SECTION. Destinations & Diversions section. I was totally shocked at what I read. O.K., now to most, you would think, that by seing a photo of a gorgeous Restroom, it would be about a residential one. But , oh NOOOOO! This article is about ...now get this...Better than the rest of the restrooms! Of course not only did the photo catch my eye, but the Title as well. I begin reading , and I am intrigued past the point of curiousity. (Being this "area" I do my best work. ) As I continue reading this article, I am , need-less to say..bursting out laughing. Then I start thinking, hmmm.....I should have thought about beginning to write articles of this nature ( no pun intended ) and get paid to do so. It is right "up" my alley.
The article states that we can't vouch for the food at Wendell's Restaurant in Westerville, Ohio, but one thing is for sure: It has a heck of a loo.
The eatery's sports themed bathroom which offers sleek granite countertops and such extras as mouthwash ( by the way, I have noticed many more restaurants offering this as well ) on hand for diners, took TOP honorsThursday in the fifth annual AMERICA'S BEST RESTROOM AWARD, the brainchild of restroom supply company CINTAS. Runner-up bathrooms, in order, are at : ALL SEASON'S BISTRO in Lansing, MI.; HEMINGWAY'S in Providence, R.I.; BORGATA HOTEL Casino & SPA in Atlantic City, N.J. ; and the QUAD CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT in Moline, ILL. Pictures of the winners can be found at www.bestrestroom.com.
Now, I do have a thing for beauty, but after reading this article, I am still wondering why I didn't come up with the idea of flying from city to city, hotel to hotel, to determine the "creme de la creme" of restrooms and get PAID for it. I missed my "calling".
Ciao for now. Again , Happy Weekend to all!!!!!
19 April Thought I Would Share This
Thought I'd share this cute photo with all of you. I watched it for a few moments, and my laughter was overheard by neighbors..few houses down.. >>Winks<<
Today was a great Wednesday, I actually went and picked up my "new" vehicle. YES, I can NOWmake PAYMENTS for several years on it. Oh yiipppeeeeeeee. LOL. As you all are aware, the transmission went out of the other one on Good Friday. I acted quickly, but felt it necessary to do so. (I have to work, you know). At any rate, I am thrilled with it.
It's a 2001 Chrysler Concorde LXI. The color is Burgandy, although I prefer Merlot as the color name. Tan leather interior and , yes, all the extras. Is so UNLIKE me to choose something extravagant( yeah right
Hope this finds all having a most wonderful, peaceful Wednesday.
Ciao for now.
**Photo in Album** 16 April Easter 2006 Easter plans this year had unexpected turn of events. On my way home from work this past "Good Friday", I lost the transmission in my vehicle. As you all know, the holiday weekends are the absolute worst, to try to find anywhere open to help you. 3 hours later I finally had received a tow .
Plans were to travel to see the Grand-children and of course that had to be changed due to circumstances. So, instead they were going to be here for a visit with us . Got a call Saturday evening, the youngest one ( Lila ) is sick. Ahhhh...poor baby. Has a fever, etc. So, Easter this year, will be one for relaxing in my favorite meditation areas outdoors. I will try to get rested, accept the unfortunate circumstances, and just enjoy the day.
In the latest photo album, I clicked a few photos of my favorite areas to meditate and to show all, that Easter Sunday here was a spectacular day. Absolutely beautiful day!
And in signing off this Blessed Day, I am sure you all had a loving day with family, friends, etc. Carpe Diem!
Ciao for now.
P.S. The meditation album will have to wait until I get back from "car" scouting tomorrow. ( Monday )
**The Meditation Album Areas is now posted. Hope you can relate & enjoy.** 15 April PJ's NEW PHOTO ALBUMMy latest photo album posted is an amateur having a great visit with MOTHER NATURE in my Gardens and property. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to critique. I do. Was a lot of fun, however.
Ciao for now.
14 April HAPPY EASTER TO ALLHappy Easter to all my wonderful viewers. To each and everyone of you, I wish you happiness, love, and of course, "favors" from the Easter Bunny. (Ty Jorge, I borrowed your line )

12 April YOUR THOUGHTS Good Evening All,
I ran across this photo and would like your comments on it. Any takers? Please be descriptive and honest. Looking forward to your comments. I will give mine later as to why I love this photo.
Ciao for now.
11 April About The Good Morning EntryHmmmmm... I entered the prior entry @ 4ish a.m. to see if anyone actually reads my Space (and would leave a comment) during the day when I am away. LOL. LOL. I now know that "Good Morning" people are few. I do thank you, ED and JG..for loving the mornings as much as I do.
Now on to much uneventful things. Today was a normal day at work. Nothing exciting to write about. Just the usual rountine .
I am still trying to get a hold of my Sister to find out what further consultations with more Dr's has accomplished, if anything. It seems to me they are dragging this out way too long. Just do the colonoscopy , the sooner, the better. As we all are aware, the earliest detection has better chances of beating the disease. Enough said, PJ.
And too all of you who read this entry first, I shall now say GOOD EVENING.
May you all have a wonderful evening. Good night.
Ciao for now.
GOOD MORNINGHave a most wonderful day!!!!!!!!!!!!! More later as I am off to work. Yes, it's quite early and most are still sleeping.
Ciao for now.
10 April Spring Time and BEESFirst off, I hope this finds all having a wonderful Monday. As for here, it is going to be the perfect day to catch some rays , listen to my cascading water garden, and just enjoy my day off. Who knows, it could even lead to a short nappy poo while doing so.
I read an article this morning in the paper regarding BEES. Now mind you, I have never been concerned about them before. However, on my next to last "get away" to Florida, I encountered something that had never happened to me before. I walked down to the pool, laid my towel on the lounger, proceeded to apply the sunscreen, and then just leaned back, closed my eyes, smiled, and was ready for the ever loving SUNGOD to take over. I had not been in that lounger 5 minutes until I felt a STING to my neck. Of course I was lying back with head tilted up. I was stunned, so got up, went to Ladies Room, gazed in the mirror, and saw a RED welp where it had ocurred. Never knowing whether or not I would have an allergic reaction ( this was a first, you must remember ), I headed to the Gift shop inside and purchased some isopropyl alcohol. It still felt as though the stinger was intact.
If you know you are allergic to bees, please remember to always carry your anticdote injection. It may save your life. It is Spring, and with all the freshly blooming buds, there will no doubt, be ( no pun intended ) the ever pollinating wonders of the bee.
Now, my time to get outside has arrived. Oh my!!! The sounds of water, the sunshine, my music, and home alone. Can it get any better than this?
Ciao for now.
07 April HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALLHAPPY WEEKEND ALL!
I shall leave you with some images and words to Ponder. Yes, the Hopeless Romantic strikes again.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....inspiration is an awesome thing.
![]() "A moment is not wasted if a memory is made."--unknown
Ciao for now all. P.S. The music playing is an all time favorite of mine. I close my eyes and I see.... a sensuous slow dance.
I am Back!Well hi everyone. I must say it is nice to be back. I shall try to explain my absence for those of you whom have no idea what I have been away for.
Last week there were damaging, tornadoes that swept through the small town where my Mother resides. She lives alone, hence, I am the closest Daughter to her, even though that distance is an 8-9 hour drive. Now I am very grateful that my Mother is alive after the devastation and lives lost there. However,I am the one who owns the house, etc. I pay the house payments, due to her being on a fixed income. To make a long, agonizing story short, I have been on the phone non-stop for days trying to reach the appropriate Organizations, etc. to get the help she needs. They are still without power and water, and from my understanding, it will be quite sometime before they have things restored. They say that 60 - 70% of the town is gone.
Now I am aware there are usually emergency shelters popping up as soon as possible, but as of day before yesterday, the area was NOT considered a Disaster Area by FEMA. As of today, Friday, that has been reversed, so now I am sure she will at least get water, food, etc. It is my responsibility , as a daughter who loves her Mother, to help with trying to "restore" the home. After all, she cannot afford a new roof. She barely makes ends meet as it is. Yes, I send her funds monthly, out of love. (I am rambling). Cut to the chase, it's hard as hell to get a REAL person on a phone and when you do, of course it is the wrong department!! You know what I am saying. Anyway, I have finally succeeded in getting the ball rolling.
In addition to this, I am trying my best to help my Sister as much as possible with remaining positive on the outcome of her colonoscopy that is scheduled for the 10th. The Dr's fear cancer, she is 47 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!
Now, if this isn't enough, LOL, I had a call from the youngest Sister, Seems as if she and her family may be moving again. This time it is far away! Dubai, on the Persian Gulf.
This is my story and I am sticking with it.
Now, I am on my way to writing my next entry. This was , I feel, needed to explain my absence.
Ciao for now.
04 April WEDNESDAY is UNIQUE this YearHi all,
Yes I should have posted this entry early this morning, Tuesday, however, I had to go to work and I ran out of "time". So, here it is now. I found this very interesting..just a bit of trivia for the future.
This Wednesday, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00, the time and date will be (get this!)
01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't ever happen again. If you remember.........just think of something really good!! ermmmm...like me .
Ciao for now.
02 April Nature's Antidepressant : WATERFALLSGood evening all!!! I do hope your weekend was a grand one. This entry will be about an article I read in todays paper. I, being the "mermaid" that I am , found it quite intrigueing.
It has been said that people can be divided into three categories, according to the form of water to which they;re most drawn. You're a river person, a lake person or an ocean person. But we may all be WATERFALL people.
Who, after all, is immune to the strange spell cast by falling water? Whether it's a roaring Niagra-size cascade or a single ribbon of whitewater spilling down a mossy cataract, waterfalls are as mesmerizing as flame.
To stand in the mist coming off a waterfall is almost a holy experience.
Or is it? Recent scientific research suggests that the contact high we get from waterfalls could be explained by the heavy doses of negative ions we absorb in their presence.
Negative ions don't have an odor or color. They're just molecules that, acted upon by energy, have gained an electron and are this negatively charged. Near pounding surf and waterfalls, the air is lousy with the stuff, giving it a "fresh" quality that impels us to breathe deeply.
Michael Tennan of Columbia University is a specialist in the treatment of SAD, seasonal affective disorder. His research has shown that the effects of negative ions, administered by ion-generating devices, are positive on both physical well-being and mood.
Waterfalls, in other words, could be nature's PROZAC.
So, having read this now, all may throw away there Prozac and let's get back to the basics of well being, and truly enjoy what Mother Nature provides us with.
Hope this sheds some light , ( no pun intended ) on why I love WATER so much. Having grown up on the oceanfront , didn't hurt either.
Now all, may go take their showers......Afterall.isn't showers a form of waterfall??
Ciao for now.
