23 March SPRING has Sprung SPRING HAS SPRUNG
Behold the miracle of SPRING. Let it's sights, sounds and aromas caress your heart and mind. Marvel at the sound and fury of its mighty storms, for without them, SPRING could not grow and flourish. Allow the magnificent glory of SPRING into your inner being, for this special season has magical healing powers.
Luxurious green will return to trees, grass and bushes; beautiful flowers will bloom and birds will drift lazily to and fro on warm zephrys against the background of a deep blue sky. Their sweet music has a healing power of it's own.
SPRING is the elusive second chance so many of us are looking for. It's a time of spiritual rebirth and fresh new hope. Transfer your sorrows and problems into the blessed, bountiful arms of SPRING, for in doing so you give them the power to create such a glorious season.
Welcome the warmth, inspiration and beauty that God created into your soul, and a new better life will be yours.

23 March 1999
I love Spring. Each and every year I look forward to the signs of nature returning to the colorless landscape that the Winter season is capable of bringing us. All the Earthtone colors..replaced by vivid yellow, gorgeous purples, the purity of the whites, the bold contrasts of reds. The list goes on as we all know. Spring is a time to rejuvenate the spirit and soul. Slow down...take a look around. With each new blade of grass that pops up from the plentiful rains, warmth, and sunshine that is provided to us by Mother Nature, so should one's spirit. For it is a new beginning. Slow down and take a look and close your eyes and breathe in the new aromas. One can only smile at such beauty.
Have a most wonderful weekend and SPRING. May the season of colors and warmth be yours..ALWAYS.

18 March The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band 2007 Jeff Hanna - guitars/vocals The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is an American country-folk-rock band that has existed in various forms since the original founding in California in 1965. The group's membership has had at least a dozen iterations over the years, including five years, between ''Dirt, Silver & Gold'' (1976) and ''Let's Go'' (1983), when the band performed and recorded as The Dirt Band. The band's best-known song was a 1970 cover of Jerry Jeff Walker's folk song "Mr Bojangles".
Let's talk MUSIC , shall we? As most all of you that visit me realize by now...I LOVE MUSIC. On Thursday evening, March 15, 2007, we attended a concert at the VOODOO LOUNGE. Had the tickets for quite some time. As a matter of fact as soon as we saw the name of the band.. months in advance...we immediately made reservations. Now I have to include many, many years ago that we had last seen them at the UPTOWN THEATRE. Folks, I am talking early '80's. So, we were looking forward to hearing them once again. The original band was called The Dirt Band. Some of you probably will recall the infamous song that was written by Jerry Jeff Walker called "Mr. Bojangles". The Dirt Band is synonymous with this everlasting song. Through the years, as most bands do, they separated and tried things on their own. It took years for them to get back together as THE NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND. During performing, the Mandolin, Guitar, Fiddle and Banjo member made a never ending impression on me and my mind. His name is John McEuen.
Now I am not really into Country music but "fiddling" is downright awesome while in the audience observing! John McEuen is the best Mandolin player I, personally have ever seen. He hypnotizes me with his talent as well as his expressions while performing. He "feels" every chord and it shows. This makes a musician..unforgettable in my eyes.
There are some links within this post that I found quite interesting for those of you not familiar with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I would suggest you click them and perhaps, just perhaps, they will have NEW fans awaiting their arrival in your town. It was a most unique and entertaining evening. One of which will always be with me. Thank you John McEuen and the rest of the members. You were OUTSTANDING and I knew that you would be.
John McEuen, a founding member of the Grammy and CMA Award winning Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, shares video clips, sound bytes, film score music, and stories from the road. His diverse skills on banjo, fiddle, guitar and mandolin have led reviewers and fans to call John 'The String Wizard.' Still touring with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, (their 40th year is coming up!) John takes his talents around the country in his solo shows and special concerts when the Dirt Band is not performing. Solo shows have featured surprise special celebrity guests such as John Sebastian, Kevin Nealon, Matt Cartsonis, Vassar Clements, and occasionally John's very talented sons Jonathan McEuen (of Hanna-McEuen) and Nathan McEuen http://www.maximediaproductions.com/mceuen/johnmceuen_banjo.html
At the end of the foot stomping, knee tapping, get up off your seat and boogie performance, Jeff Hanna ( lead vocals and guitar member ) told the audience that there would not be much of an autograph session, if at all. It seems there had been one hours prior to the concert that we could not attend simply due to the fact that I worked Thursday and we could not make it there. However, in some of the photos in the Album, you will see me, trying to near the stage to thank Jeff. Guess who got an autograph? ON MY MONEY ENVELOPE...LOL..I did not have paper or pen. LOL...LOL..So I made due. The concert lasted almost 2 1/2 hours and by the end of the evening...moi...had been awake almost 24 hours!!!! LOL..Whewwwwww...I would do it over and over anytime to see them again.
I bid you adieu for now. Have a great week all!

14 March EARLY ST. PADDY'S PARADE ( Smaller one )Hi all! Yes I am finally recuperating from that darn FLU BUG! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Still weak, but, HEY, I am breathing. :) Will try to go back to work tomorrow. (Darn it..he he)
I was ill on Sunday when one of the local towns in my area put on their version ( smaller) of the LARGER upcoming St. Paddy's Day Parade held downtown K.C. this Saturday. However; MR. PJ went and took some photos for me to share with you. He found a location before the actual parade started where they were all lining up. Hence some great photos. :)
I must tell you a little about this parade. It all came about one evening at a local pub I used to frequent. We all sat around discussing the HUGE parade that Kansas City puts on. We said.."well..we need a smaller version of one here in Martin City". LOL..It truly started out as a joke. You must remember this was over 15 years ago!!! So..we started making signs and posting them on all the telephone posts and went to the few establishments ( in person) there. All the businesses thought it was a great idea ..and why wouldn't they? There Bar business would triple and also their food on this day. The first Parade had a few cars, a few horses, and a few floats with people throwing candy to all the children. IT WAS A HIT!! It was hilariously funny, but the streets were full with anticipating parade goers. Needless to say...it has since grown larger and larger and we now, even have some participants from KC and all around the metro in this one. :) Also some of the smaller districts have since added a parade to their neighborhoods. What is the saying? Oh yes.."BUILD IT and THEY WILL COME".
If the spread of PROGRESS continues SOUTH..who knows...we may have the second largest St. Paddy's Day Parade around the area. LOL....
Dreams CAN come true..imagine that! And to think..it all started out as a joke. Life is good.
Enjoy!!! Now come on...who isn't IRISH on this one day?

13 March DAYS OFF and THEN SOME ** LOVE STORY**
I will seek and find you. I shall take you to bed and have my way with you. I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan and groan. I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop. I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I am finished with you. And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.
All My Love,
(scroll down)
Now get your mind out of the gutter and just be happy I am alive.
LOL.

06 March My Past Weekend Hi Everyone......................
I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE ENTRY DISAPPEARED TO! PERHAPS THE MSN ALIENS HAVE LANDED. I was changing the color scheme and "POOF"..it just disappeared. LMAO. Well DARN..It has REAPPEARED! Holy Moly! :)
WOW...where do the days that one has off...go? As you all know my weekends are actually on Sundays and Mondays. Tuesday is almost over and I am sitting here just thinking. So, bear with me now. LOL. The days we all work seem to be never-ending. When your weekend comes along..it just disappears so quickly. Have you ever wondered why we, as working human beings..work 5 days a week? Why can it not be...work 2 days..then have 5 off? Our society is just plain being worked silly!!! O.K. I have vented about not having a few more days off. Whew!
This past weekend I had in-laws arrive Sunday afternoon and stay until Monday afternoon. Now you do the math...although they were only here less than 24 hours..I feel as though my "weekend" was never here. By the time I got the errands run...house cleaning chores done...phone calls made to family that is done each and every Sunday to those that do not live close by..I just cannot believe that time can fly so fast and not have enough "down" time for ME to get me ready for another week at work. It is always a blessing to see relatives so please do not think I am being an a**. The whole point I am trying to make is this...work for 2 days..and have 5 off. This agenda would give everyone ample time for family and one's self. I truly do value my days off. More than I can put into words. Now without further adieu...I wish you all a wonderful.. rest of the work week.
