31 March Happy Weekend and a Few WordsFirst off, I wish to hug and thank all for replying to my request. You all are the BEST!
 It is much appreciated and I shall never forget anyone who responded. I will always be there for each and everyone of you. Only if you wish me too, of course. I have been working daily and this helps me to keep sane. LOL..Who is sane? Huh?
 At any rate, let me rephrase that ...It helps me to keep busy.. How's that? Tomorrow, Saturday, I may work at least 10 1/2 hours in Banquets. I will not have my "normal" Sunday and Monday off this week due to full capacity at work. However, I do have Sunday off and this is my week to go to the Children's Ward and get all my HUGGGGGGGGSSSSSS.
 I always look forward to seeing "my" children. I am even going to try to see my best Friend Charlie ( handicapped but do NOT tell him this ) I will offer to take him to a Lunch Buffet, he loves this! So, all in all, I am keeping busy and praying for the best for my Sister. We will know more after the 10th ( colonoscopy ). I shall keep you all informed.It is definitely SPRING! The Redbuds, Flowering Crabs, Saucer Magnolias, Flowering Quince Shrubs, Bradford Pears, Bleeding Heart Perennial, and many more are in BLOOM. Oh My What A Feeling and Eye appeal all these beautiful Trees and Plants bestow.

 ~*~PJ~*~28 March Help Me To Be StrongerIn my previous Entry I am aware that I was going to post more later in the day. As it happens, I did not. You see, my Middle Sister called me on Monday evening, and I have been told that she may have Colon Cancer. She is the one who has had to live her entire life "Manic-Depressive". She has seen the lowest of times which most of us could never even imagine.
Please understand that I have always been the one that both Sisters call upon. I am , of course, the eldest. In other words, I have always been the "anchor" to my entire family, including my own Mother. So, perhaps you have some understanding of my emotions at this point.
Having added this to my personal Space has helped me to actually come to terms with accepting the fact that she called to tell me. I am sure, I will be fine and strong for her, but as most know, I wear my heart on my sleeve. No matter what she has done to me in the past, she is and always will be, my Sister.
I MUST continue to be strong, no wait, STRONGER.

After errands, and "STUFF" I need to get accomplished, I will write about my uneventful weekend. LOL.

~*~PJ~*~24 March Have a GRAND weekend!Most may not realize this but PJ's weekend usually doesn't start until Sunday's. However, all of you are in my thoughts for having a great weekend as well as days, ALWAYS!
Again, I was told by my GM and F&B Director how much they appreciate me and my hard work. Apparently I received 3 new "Ribbons" from Platinum Members this week . I must tell you, this makes me feel so good. I thrive on having guests at the Hotel enjoy their stay with us, however, when this happens and I am actually told about it..well..I am humbled to no end.
I also found out today that we received the Contract for The Golf Channel. Last year they were with us and we truly wanted to continue our relationship with this affiliation. Another win for the Hotel, indeed. This is huge for us, considering there are more than 100 Hotels in the Corporate area that could have gotten this contract as well.
I suppose I have rambled on too much now, but at this point..Elation is still very high.

20 March MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SOME OF THE PHOTOS I added some Descriptions to a few of the photos in the Orlando Album, upon request. LOL.
 There were a few very unique places I saw.
The first was the Hotel . It has that Floridian motif and was absolutely beautiful. The design of the Hotel itself, was amazing. It looked as though it was "round" from the hallways leading to any room.
Tu Tu Tango was a hoot. We ( Kathy and I ) were told this was a must see place. So, the night before I departed I drove us to it. Nothing unusual looking from the outside, but whoaaaaaaaa, when you get inside, you are totaly in awe. There were Flamingo Dancers, Artists drawing "live", Palm reading, Glass blowing artists. We had a 30 minute wait for eating, so we headed to the Bar and sat there with our mouths open. This place is a MUST see for anyone. It was quite the place to be for some fun!
Wonderworks is a Science Museum. It appears from the outside to have been constructed "Upside Down". The top of the building appears to be ground level!. This was the most "unique" visual I encountered. Evert detail of this place was mind blowing. Even upside down Palm trees from the top ( which you have to remember is actually suppose to be the ground! ). Was fascinating.
 Next stop along our short walk along Universal..was this strip mall. Lo and behold ...I see a neon sign that reads "BAD ASS".
Now from the sidewalk there was a Palm tree directly in the middle of this sign. All I saw were the words..BAD ASS. As we approached it, I started cracking up and so did Kathy. It was a coffee Store. Hawaiian coffee and man was it great! Purchased some and off we went. The owner was a lovely man. He actually gave us some history of the Hawaiian word for the coffee I bought. Long story , however. At any rate, at least I know what it means. It was getting late , so we headed back to the Hotel. Kathy actually took some photos of me in the Lobby, in front of a Marilyn Monroe mural. Guess what? They didn't turn out due to flash not going off, but if hers turns out good, she will email them to me and I shall post them.

16 March HAPPY St. Patrick's DayFirst off, I want to wish one and all a very HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY! Erin Go Braugh.
Now for the next part of this entry, I just want to thank my loyal few that visit me routinely. A big ole HUG to each of you.
  Now I am going to ramble. I was sitting in the park, day before yesterday for a short while. Looked up at the beautiful BLUE sky. During this one on one with my thoughts, I wondered what makes one ( as in plural ) suddenly change . Let me be a bit more explicit. I have had numerous "friends" I feel I knew through cyber space. Out of the numerous, there is one in particular that seemed to always be here. Then ...suddenly...out of the blue.. he/she just doesn't even "care" anymore? No more emails, no more phone calls, no more Instant Messaging...just seems to have dropped from the face of the Earth. I am aware that once one gets too much attention, a "head" may swell and those "friends" that were once loyal , seem forgotten. I surely hope I never treat anyone this way. It hurts, it sometimes makes me even angry. Angry, you may say? Yes, "hurt" makes one angry, and if you say it does not, then you are fooling yourself. I have a heart, I bleed the same as any other human being.
Not to bore anyone any longer, I have come to this conclusion...
He/she was NEVER a friend to begin with. If he/she had been, where is he/she now? It never ceases to amaze me how "stardom" , for lack of better terminology at moment, appears to "change" an individual. And I must also say, it's ugly and heartless. Without a heart one does not have a soul. End of my story.

06 March I SMELL THE OCEANWell..It is that time. It has finally arrived. You know, the get the hell out of "Dodge", so to speak.
I have been working long hours and have been too tired to be "witty" lately. I will be taking a much needed "get away" for myself. Time to pamper "PJ". I am so good at this. >>Winks<< I deserve time away from work. Sound selfish? You bet it is!!! But it is also the truth.

Will be televised Sunday evening. How did this become so outrageous? All the money spent, etc. I read an article about the "Gift Baskets" given out to Presenters and Performers , as a way for the Academy to thank them. Is it not logical for one to assume, just being asked to do so is an honor all alone? Oh NOOOOOO, it has become an outrage ( for me ). It is such a marketing bonanza in which companies bid six months in advance to provide products for the basket.Now here is the part that is so disgusting..Ready?? The value has grown from $20,000 on 2002 to a whopping $110,000 last year!!!!!!!
Example...A four night package at waikiki's Halekulani resort ( more than $25,000.)
Six nights split between Vancouver, B.C.,s urban Opus Hotel and rustic Wickaninnish Inn ( $10.000.)
 The list goes on and on...A KRUP'S Espresso machine and cups???? Come on! Give me a break. ( $600.)
 A years supply of OLIVE OIL? WHAT?????????
 ( $550 )Pearl and Diamond Tara Necklace a mere ( $1300.)
 Kay Unger vintage silk kimono ( $ 500. )
 Enough...Just makes me sick to my stomach
 ( don't look at this Poopster! ) to think about all this money being used so foolishly. I , myself, think that the gesture is genuine, however, the outcome has come to the point of ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Give the money to Charities, Senior Citizens that cannot even afford to purchase their own medications any longer, Children who are starving ( and no one should starve in this day and age).  Ok..I believe you all probably get my message now. I rambled on and on, but this truly hits me below the belt.

~*~PJ~*~01 March FEELS LIKE SPRING Hi All ( or should I say "few"),
Today is absolutely gorgeous once again. It is actally 79 degrees here..25 degrees warmer than it should be. Now mind you, I am not complaining; however, this is just down right EERIE for Winter. The sun is shining, the sky is at times at an overcast, but all in all, GORGEOUS.
I saw on CNN all the rains, flooding. mudslides on the West Coast. The Northern plains are to be on the "watch" for a winter storm that could bring many inches of snow. The East coast..well..Florida in particular is expecting a cold front to arrive on Monday. When the temperatures are in the 50's and 60's in Florida, trust me on this, Floridians freeze.
I am interested in Florida this upcoming week, as I will be flying there for 5 or 6 days. Apparently it is Spring Break ( I forgot this
) and could not put my finger exactly on why all the Hotels I looked at online...were totally at 100% capacity. I decided I was not going to let my Airline Ticket be used by someone else ..LOL..I need this "get away" for myself! It had looked as though I would not be able to book the employee discounts I so need to do in order to save money. It was looking grim..then..Lo and Behold, two angels came to my rescue. My deceased Father's best friend ( all our lives, actually ) and his wife have a condo on the oceanfront. They asked me to stay there. So, all is well again. I will now be able to take my trip, ( on such short notice ), feel the ocean breeze blow my hair, plant my toes in the white sands, and hear the ocean surf again. And sunbathe while daydreaming.Sighssssssssssssssssss...
Life is GRAND!
