26 October What Makes Me Happy..May Not Be For You...I have been getting rather "simple minded" but yet, annoying comments from a "NO NAME" to which I wish to confront. You are hiding or I would confront you one-on-one. If you do not care for my photos or my Space..simply p-o-o-f. There is no need to repeatedly leave rude and distracting, energy wasting time here. What makes me happy may not be what makes you happy. This is what makes the world go round. If everyone's "taste" were the same, what a boring world this would be. Yes, I have deleted all your comments simply because they are a waste of time and energy on my part, not because of your criticism. I am a grown lady and I am quite capable of enduring such. It is not due to the reasoning you so bluntly think. I am NOT afraid to post what makes me happy and that is my photos which I take. I am NOT..I repeat..I am NOT ..a professional photgrapher but I do copyright all my photos. If you are under the impression that your comments will make me stop posting my photos..you are insane. With that said, I have wasted enough of my precious time on this subject.
This weekend was a rather "laid back" one for me. I worked 12.5 hours on Thursday and 13.5 on Friday. My "outing" consisted of taking photos. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, a cool, brisk NW wind with a touch of crispness. This relaxes me more than a massage could. LOL. I slept quite a bit and then took walks in the sunshine and just meditated on the beauty surrounding me. I also drove a few miles South just to see if I could find the bison grazing close enough to capture some. Unfortunately..they were nowhere in sight and the property is private. Perhaps soon I will get lucky and see them again. Less than a mile from me is Dunn's Cider Mill where they have the most awesome cider not to mention cider doughnuts. Every year they hold a Scarecrow contest for the children. It is always enjoyable to see "art" from a child's perspective. This year there was an entry pertaining to Breast Cancer from a 10 year old girl. What an amazing young lady.
I also stopped by, what I call the "Mansion" which is directly to the North of my property. The reasoning behind the name is simple: the land and tenants have been passed down for generations. There are horsebarns, maid's quarters, etc. The photos are from across the main highway because the electronic gate that is usually open during the week is closed on the weekends. Perhaps you can see some of the beauty from the pics in the album.
That's about it for this entry. we are expecting our first frost of the season tonight. It may even be below freezing. brrrrrrrr. The first 10 to 15 photos in albu m are from my property. The rest were taken Sunday on my outing. ENJOY!!! Oh, yeah, was listening to our Public Radio in car and heard an awesome Blues Guitarist. I will have to research MICHAEL BURKS .
.
Until next time...Keep Smiling.
~Paula~ 24 October The WEEKEND Is Among Us20 October ReminiscingAs all of my friends that visit me here in Blogland know, I have been recovering from an illness. I have spent many hours just reminiscing about the "GOOD OLE DAYS". Remember these? If NOT..then you haven't "lived".
13 October My Best Day In Weeks**OCTOBER 13th** UPDATE:
Yesterday (Sunday) after having slept half the weekend away, I was hesitant to try to walk to my favorite stream that is a ways behind my home property. It was so beautiful out that I decided I had to try. I walked through the wooded areas and stopped many times along the way because of the tiredness the strong antibiotics have on my slowly healing body. Every step and breath for that matter was a challenge in itself. The Dr. told me because I am working, that it would be a longer "healing" process. Now does someone have to have a degree to know this? LOL. As soon as I get home..I sleep for hours then get up and get ready for the next day. Noone knows my body better than me, so I do know if I should NOT go in to work. Again, it has been challenging. This is my first bout with pneumonia and it is something. To make a long story short..I finally made it to my destination and shot a few photos. ( Imagine that ) I was careful and took H2O with me as well as my cell phone. Thankfully I didn't have to use it. I am feeling a bit better each day and hopefully soon, this will be just a bad memory. LOL.
Until next time...Keep Smiling. I want to THANK all of you who have stopped by to wish me well. It means an awful lot to me. Anytime a smile is formed, is a good day, regardless of the struggles. So, keep 'em coming at me. I wish you all the best of health and most of all, I wish you love and peace.
~Paula~
